Organisations charts inserted in Word-2K don't work in Word-XP

We have recently upgrade from Office-2K to Office-XP.

If I open a Word-XP document which has an Org chart inserted that was previously created in Word-2K, you cannot edit it in Word-XP, it appears that the feature has been totally revamped and doesn't recognise the old version

Does this mean that we will have to re-create all of our organisation charts or is there a work around

It should be possible to install only the old OrgChart applet from Office 2K. You might also want to install the Binder, while you're at it, if anyone uses that.

Thanks for the info. The word-XP help indicates that org charts should convert over,
is this not the case. Are there impications with new functionailty if we install the W2K applet?

Thanks

Can you give me the search term you used to find that? I can imagine they'd "convert"
insofar as they would still be viewable in the document. But without the applet installed,
editing wouldn't be possible...

Since the old OrgChart applet is completely different than the new functionality there
shouldn't be any kind of conflict. I have Office 2000 and 2003 installed in parallel, so
the older applet is available for me. Both it and the newer functionality work as they
should.
