Org Chart Utility Is JUNK

The new Org Chart utility in Outlook 2002 is one of the biggest pieces of junk I've even seen. I could fill several pages describing the dumb things that the AutoLayout tool does/does not do. And when you turn AutoLayout off, the diagram becomes totally unintelligent.

I'm beginning to wonder whether this is some secret ploy by Microsoft to sell more Visio. Fortunately I already had Visio so I switched to the Org Chart utility there and finally once again have a decent way of creating org charts.

Bring back the old Org Chart utility in PowerPoint!

I agree with (most of) what you say about the new diagramming tool,
Clark. The best way for us to get changes is to email
(e-mail address removed)

Include specifics of what causes you problems with the org chart tool.
Make your case firmly but politely.
