ORA-01002 Fetch out of sequence error

I am trying to open a linked Oracle view in Access with
an ODBC driver and I get the following error message: ORA-
01002 Fetch out of sequence. Does anyone know why I am
getting this error?

Has your attempt worked before and suddenly stopped? Did you upgrade MS
Access or MS Office recently? Need more details.

No, this is a new attempt. I have not done this before,
but I get the impression it has to do with the way the
SQL statement was written that created the view. I didn't
write the statement. One of our DBAs did and she probably
did not realize that I was going to use Access.
