Option settings

My son sent me email stating two problems, and not being an XP guy (yet)
I can't help him.
1 - When using IE6 to access a site, it can't be found. He said the link
is something like 'http://......../BCC/'. When ever he enters the url,
the 'BCC' is changed to lower case, and the page can't be found. Is
there perhaps an option somewhere that forces url's entered to lower
case that can be changed?
2 - When he visits a site and sees a JPG image he want to save, a right
click to save the image produces a box that indicates an extension of
'bmp' only. Is there an option somewhere that will allow savings a JPG
as a JPG? Thanks.

Hi Joe,

For 1: Have him rename his host file folder.
For 2: Have him empty his TIF.

Emptying the temporary internet files seemed to solve his problem with
saving images in IE6.
In regard to problem #1, the hosts file doesn't seem to be involved. I may
not have given enough info on that one. I put some info on my site for him
at the following link -
http://www.mindspring.com/~cdsops/BCC/
Every time he used that link, he got the 404 error, and his location bar
then indicated the 'BCC' part was in lower case. The error was retuned by
Earthlink who now includes Mindspring. I finally changed the case of the BCC
folder on my site to lower case, and he now has no problem accessing it. Its
like IE6 converts upper case to lower case on a link, and I would think it
was a setting somewhere.
