opticpro 9630p on xp jumbled

I have an opticpro 9630p (don't hold that against me), and the latest
drivers I can find, it was working fine until it began to scan scrambled
i.e.. picture jumbled and colours all over the place. It works on another
computer (with 98) but not here. I am desperately seeking help.I think it is
an internal problem with either the registry reading the scanner twice, or
cache problems.(Neither of which I know about). ANY CLUES?

if prompted for a username and password it is always the same for everyone

I had an Optic Pro 4830p that did exactly the same thing. I found that if I
scanned at less than 100% in the size settings for the software I generally
got good results. I then had to resize then if I wanted through my graphics
software which I generally did anyway so it was no biggie.

Bill, I had the same problem with my 9630 !!! I spent
weeks trying different softwear, all a waste of time.
Other people on the web were having the same trouble.
Sorry the only solution is buy another scanner. (I bought
a Cannon Lide20 <$A100 it works perfectly).
