Optical Mouse

I recently purchased an optical mouse.
Every now an again the pointer jumps into a corner of the
screen irrespective of what application is being used.
I have tried two different versions of mice but both do
the same. (PS2 and USB interface)

I have tried to delete the driver and when windows starts
it installs a new driver but the problem still exists.
I am using Windows 200 professional on a laptop.
Any ideas?

Check your snap-to-default setting. Uncheck the box.

Hi,

If you're running the scrollpoint 800 IBM optical like I am, I have
loaded a half dozen or so different drivers at times trying to fix some
anomalies in 2000.

I've had to learn to live with a couple of "problems" the mouse still
has. I never did find a good driver at IBMs site or on the CD that came
with the mouse.
