Opening window

For no apparant reason suddenly when I click on a link, while either web
surfing or email, the new window opens at a reduced size? instead of full
page as usual. Why has this happened and how can I get back to previous full
size window. I am not a techie so understanding replies are appreciated.

Use your mouse to stretch the window to full size then click on File and
then Close.

Resize the window with the mouse and press CTRL while you close it.
