When I try to open files or folders that I've saved to my desktop, I get the
error message: THIS FILE DOES NOT HAVE A PROGRAM ASSOCIATED WITH IT FOR
PERFORMING THIS ACTION. CREATE AN ASSOCIATION IN THE FOLDER OPTIONS CONTROL
PANEL. I don't know how to do this and I don't know what it means. I also
lost my Internet Explorer 6 shortcut icon on my desktop and when I go
throught my program's list and right click on it and go to properties, I
don't see the internet options page anymore when I did before. This all
happened when I had to do a system restore and also had to reload all my
McAfee stuff. I use Windows XP home edition. Can anybody tell me how to fix
it so that I can open all the folders and files that I have saved like I
could before?
