Opening Query closes Access

I just recently made a Crosstab query and I used it as an
input in a make table query. The problem is, ever since
that was done, anytime I try to open (even in design view)
this maketable query or any other query used in making
that crosstab query, Access automatically closes itself.

Can anybody help me understand this.
