Opening .pst folders saved from Outlook 2007

Hello,

I recently purchased a PC with Vista. I had a trial version of Office 2007,
and was using Outlook for my email. When the was expiring, I saved my Inbox
and Sent items to a personal folder. Now Windows Mail is my email program,
and I cannot figure out how to access the .pst folders. Can anyone assist?
Thanks in advance!

Windows Mail cannot open .pst files without help from part of Outlook.
You should have imported them into Windows Mail before the free trial
ran out. Do you have a friend with both Outlook and either Outlook
Express or Windows Mail installed?

If the messages are in a PST file Outlook needs to be installed and working.
If the messages are saved as individual EML files you can drag the into a
folder in an open instance of WinMail.
If the messages are saved as MSG files you need Outlook.
