Opening Photos-Outlook Express

I am unable to open .jpg files that are attached to emails I receive so I can
save them to a different file. The picture shows up in the body of the email
but when I click on the attached file name, I get a message that reads "This
file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.
Create an association in the folders option control panel." I need more
instructions than that. How exactly do I create this association? Thanks for
your help.

Save the attachment to your hard-drive > Right-click on the saved JPG file >
Open with > Select desired application & check the "Always open with..."
box.
