Opening hyperlinked word document in separate window.

I have two separate word. One of them has a list of codes, while the other
has definitions of those codes. I've created links between the codes and the
definitions. I envision the user being able to have these two documents side
by side. When he clicks on the code in one document, it will take him to the
definition in the other. The problem I've encountered is that when I click
on the hyperlink, the other document moves over the original document,
showing the definition, but being in the way. The user has to drag the
document off so he can click on another link, which moves the other document
back onto it. Is there a way to remedy this problem.

Your codes and the definitions for them could be in the same document, like
you see on the Internet when a company has FAQ's about their stock or their
benefits. The hyperlink will jump to the definition that is further down on
the HTML (or Word) page and land at the correct point, but it's all in one
document. They don't have to be in two separate documents, just as long as
the link takes them to the correct place.
