opening eml files in Outlook

Hi,

I'm trying to open a '.eml' file in MS Outlook 2002. This
eml file opens correctly in MS Outlook Express, but won't
open in Outlook. I realize that '.msg' files are Outlook's
default, but I can't easily create one of those since I'm
on a Java platform.

If anybody knows of a configuration change to Outlook, or
changes that can be made to the eml file, I would be very
grateful for that info. Any input would be helpful.

Iain -

eml files are the message type created and used with Outlook Web
Access - OWA. Since you are on a Java platform, you may prefer
working with OWA anyway. Also, you can manipulate eml files
programmatically using WebDAV.

Hi Iain:

Have you gotten a solution to this problem? I am
running into the same problem. Wonder if there is some
utilities out there that convert eml to msg.
