Opening Email

I open a message at my office using Outlook. I go home
and use the same email address but the messages that I
had at my office don't show up at the home computer. Both
use Outlook 2003 and both computers are Windows XP. Is
there a way to fix this problem?

I'm assuming you are using a POP account, both at work and at home, based on
your description. Typically POP clients (Outlook is one) download messages
from the server and store them locally, deleting the message from the server
after it has been downloaded. So, if you download a message at work, it's
gone from the server and is only on your work computer. When you access the
server from home, you can't see it because your work Outlook told the server
to delete it. If you were to download a message at home, you probably won't
see it at work, either, because your home Outlook told the server to delete
it after it was downloaded, so it won't be there to see using another
Outlook.

You can modify your account properties to leave a copy on the server, so
that each Outlook will have access to the same messages on the server.
Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing e-mail accounts>Next. Select
your account and click Change, then More Settings. Click the Advanced tab
and put a check in the "Leave a copy of messages on the server" box. You
might also consider checking the "Remove from server after xx days" box,
specifying a likely value for the number of days. You can also check the
"Remove from server when deleted from Deleted Items" box, if you deem it
appropriate.
