Opening EFS Encrypted XLS file in XP

Have created a Virtual folder in IIS and pointed that at a network
share. This allows me to encrypt files in the share and add other
certs to each document to effectively create a "shared encrypted"
folder. It all works fine except for XLS files which appear to encrypt
ok in "properties advanced" but when you open the XLS file it renders
gobbledigook on the screen. We can work around this because decryption
delivers a readable unencrypted file in the folder, but obviously this
compromises security.

Anyone got a fix to this ?

I suggest that you post this to an Excel newsgroup as it
seems to be something specific to that application.
