Opening Data files saved in outlook

My hard drive was dying and I took the time to backup my Outlook files to an
external hard drive. I then took the computer to the shop for the
replacement. They also created a separate set of data files for me info in
Outlook (2003). Since getting it back, I have managed to import the address
book, but cannot get me personal file folders back from this file. I also
cannot open the backup file which is a ".pst" file to see what is in the
backup. Does anyone know how to get this info? OR Does anyone know how to
open a ".pst" file to see what's in it?

To open that file, use the File | Open | Outlook Data File command in Outlook.

You have to:
File, Open, Data File, and choose the drive that .pst file is in. Then click
Open. That folder should then show up on the left side, as part of "tree."
