Opening attachments

Can someone please help me. All of my attachments are converted to opening
in Word. Even the files that are pdf's. I have tried right mouse clicking
on the attachment and looking for open with but it doesnt come up. The only
way I can open a pdf is save it my desk top, open adobe and then open the
file from the desktop. This is driving me mad. It recognise any other
program eg excel, only word.

Save to desktop, right-click and choose "open With". You will find a box at
the bottom that says something like "always use this to open....." If you
check that, then the file association will be fixed.
