Opening a word document starts "configuring office Ultimate 2007"

Each time I open a Word document in ltimate 2007 (except whe I open it from
inside OneNote), I get the message "Configuring Office Ultimate 2007...".
This procedure takes some 5 - 10 minutes per document I open. I only have
this on one installation, my other Ultimate and my Professional are fine. My
friends have assigned m goofer status however now that my brand new network
turns out to be a snail in practice. Taking into account I have to open 3 to
5 documents at a time on this specific computer alone to do my job, things
are really getting silly. My work is piling up and I'm bored stiff. No
problems (like this) with the other Ultimate Applications.
