opening a MS Access file takes forever, 5 sec on XP

Hello,

I have the same network configuration on XP and Vista.
Opening a Access database file with full of Macros takes 70 seconds while on
XP it takes 5 second.

The network location is the same. Access is loaded with macros, but I doubt
that it would make a difference.
Eventually the database opens on Vista, but the slowness unbearable.

Any help would be appreciated.

The issue is probably caused by the macros and the different way Vista and
XP handle security since macros are considered a security risk. Post your
question in the Access newsgroup. Make sure you include the versions of
Access you are running on both machines and where the Access database is
hosted.
