"open with" menu

I recently installed Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 alongside Dreamweaver MX
2004. When selecting Dreamweaver.exe (v8) from "Open With" in the
right-click context menu it opens the older version of Dreamweaver.

I uninstalled Dreamweaver MX 2004 so not to cause conflict, but now when
using the right-click "Open With" command Dreamweaver is not listed so I
go to "Choose Program..." and find Dreamweaver.exe on my computer.

Problem is even after selecting Dreamweaver.exe it is still not listed
in the "Open With" dialog box!

Obviously installing two versions of Dreamweaver caused a problem in the
registry.

Any fixes please?

Hi Marty,

I noticed that it is a duplicated post with the one in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support and they are replies there. So
,please follow this issue there to avoid any influence of confliction.
