Open search window instead of folder contents

I just downloaded some vista icons from a reliable site.. it contained a
folder with .ico files. One of them was folder icon. So i went to the
tools->folder options and in file types there was something named 'file
folder' and in its 'Advanced' option, I clicked change icon and showed the
path of the longhorn icon. After that I was working.. When I try to double
click a folder instead of going inside the folder it shows the search window
of its folder. how could this happen?? Can anyone help me on this?? Other
icons are working well (my computer, my documents) etc. How to roll back to
the initial situation where the folder was opening normally. Is there a
simpler solution??
