Open Outlook 2003 from within Browser

BadHead

Hi,

I want to launch Outlook 2003 from within Opera or Firefox when I click on
an email link from within a web site. How can I set this up so that when I
click on a link, Outlook 2003 opens up as a blank new email message with the
email address of the email link automatically placed in the to field?

Thanks for any help.

I would think those would be Firefox and Opera settings...you'd have to
select Outlook 2003 as your default mail program for those browsers.

Hi, thanks for your answer Jocelyn. This is actually the answer that I was
looking for:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /c ipm.note /m %

I'm sorry if the wording of my question confused you.

I see. Internet Explorer does what you asked automatically, at least with
Outlook and Outlook Express. That's why I thought it might work the same for
other browsers.

No such luck! You seta it up in FF or Opera, it just opens Outlook, leaving
you to start a new message and insert the email address automatically. Bit
of a Pain! This switch works a teat though - found it at this website:
