Open Other User's Calendar

I do know how to open another users folder (given that
the permissions are correct) the problem is getting it to
open when Outlook is opened everytime without having to
go through the FILE/OPEN/OPEN OTHER USER FOLDER option. I
need the Other Users Calendar to be in my Navigation Pane
for the Folder List all the time.

I have also added the User's mailbox through the Email
Accounts option. We are running Exchange 2000 and when I
select the Exchange account then go to "Change" and the
Advanced Options to add the mailbox, It will add the
mailbox to the Folder List but it will not open. It is in
the Floder List everytime I open my mailbox but nothing.

In the past the calendar was a Public Folder Calendar and
it worked fine.
This would allow anyone to view the scheduled
appointments. Unfortunately, I can't make it a Public
Folder any longer. It causes to many issues when there
are other applications or hardware (cell phone) that need
to sync with the Calendar. Most of these other apps or
hardware only want to sync with the "default" User's
Calendar and not a Public Folder Calendar. In order for
this to work I was having to use the Public Calendar then
copy the contents over to the "default" Calendar in order
to get it to sync correctly. This was a real pain.

What can I try now?

Hey that looks like it will work.. I guess I should have
looked a little closer to what some of the new features in
Outlook 2003 are.

Thanks

Outlook 2003 allows side by side calendaring. When a
person, like you, has proper permission from another
person, they can open a "Shared calendar" one time and have
that option available to them from their calendar
navigation pane all the time.
One really cool thing about this feature is that it puts
their calendar beside yours and hides it with just the
click of a mouse.
It does require Exchange in the background.

Check out this demo at Microsoft.com http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?AssetID=HA010930821033&CTT=98

It shows the use of side by side calendaring and only
takes a few minutes to view. This demo shows how to use
calendars that are just your own. Where you see the
section called "My Calendars" there is a section below that
one that will say "Shared Calendars" and they will hide and
display in the same way.
