Open or Save in IE

How can I "re-enable" the open/save dialog when I ask to download a file in
Internet Explorer. Somehow it is not working since whenever I try to
download a EXE, a "white" blank screen shows up. I can also "save link" to
disk but I would like to have this again.

Hi,
Try this from Alan Edwards:

If it is only .exe files, then read on and see if this is relevant:
You may have an invalid plugin.
Netscape-Style Plug-ins Do Not Work After Upgrading Internet Explorer
[Q303401]
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q303/4/01.asp

Remove the plugin with Regedit.exe
Start-Run-Regedit.exe
Navigate down to this key and remove it, after exporting it as a
normal safety precaution.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Plugins\Extension\.exe

If that key exists, then you will see what plugin has been installed.
(QuickTime by the looks of it and if so, I believe they have a fix)
The key does not normally exist.

Hope this helps,

It looks "promising". Need to check with the 39.html link when I get home
later tonight.

With the links from 39.html, I found this link:

And this was my exact problem! I now fixed my problem.

Thanks for the help.
