open multiple browsers

if i try to minimize my browser and open another, the new browser replaces the previous one. also if i click a link which opens a new browser window it closes (replaces) the current browser. tried setting all advanced and program options settings to default. ran norton's anti virus and spybot software. i'm stumpped

Hi,
In Internet Options> Advanced, you've unchecked "Reuse windows" right? Are
you running a program to block ads/pop-up windows?
