open jpg files in browser?

Duane

From a newbie:
I click a link to a .jpg file, and it opens up in its
associated app. I want it to open in the browser.
Do I need to change the filetype associated app?
Do I need to put the jpg into a web page first?
Is there some quick html code I can use to force IE to
open the jpg file itself?
Thanks,
D.G.

Duane,
Find a JPG file.
Select it (single click.)
Hold down the Shift key and right-click that file.
Choose "Open with."
Find IE in the list and check "Always use this program"

Note: This may not stick. Some graphics programs take back file
associations.

Or you can drag the JPG file to an IE window.

Or you can drag the JPG file to the taskbar button of a minimized IE window,
wait a second for the window to restore, then drag the file to that IE
window.

Hope this helps,
Don
