Open a Powerpoint file in different windows

Hi there,
I am working with 3 different screens, I can open Excel files in 2 different
windows and then split the windows in 2 different screens (The TIP is to open
the files in 2 different ways...one you double click on it, one you Launch
Excel and go into File open...)

It seems to be impossible to do it with Powerpoint, any solution ?

"Alt & Tab" work for switching between open windows, in case you want to
check your stock/email, too.
Also, the graphics card and software you have should include tips for
expanding multiple open windows programs to fit nicely within each particular
screen.

You can also select Window>Arrange All and widen the Powerpoint window to
encompass at least four presentations at once.

I do this often. I have multiple versions of PowerPoint loaded, then I can
do it. So I would have and instance of PPT 2003, and instance of PPT 2002
each open maximized to a different monitor.

Hope this helps.

This is just stupid. I have only one version of powerpoint installed. Who's
decision was it to have only one instance of powerpoint (and swapping between
different presentations via some alt-tab? If I want to "merge" two different
presentations, it's handy to actually see both of them at the same time,
where I can then cut/paste from one to the other.

What a dumb idea to not be able to just do this, but to instead have to
spoof it via Sonia's response. Stop making powerpoint a single-instance app.

In your one version of PowerPoint, open all of the presentations that you
want to work on. Then click window on the toolbar, select arrange all. You
now can copy from one presentation to another

If we could, we would. You're preaching to the choir ... we already know the sermon
and are happy to throw in an amen whenever it suits the text.

We're PPT users here, like you. MS provides the forum for us but doesn't staff it.

Hi All,

As stated before, you can open all the powerpoint docs you want, click
"Window", Then Arrange all. You may select "Tile" or "Cascade" sup to you. I
personally find that "Alt + Tab" and "Ctrl + C;V;X" to be intergral in moving
fast between decks
I'm merging or working within. Drag and Drop works, but errors can occur
(like droping into wrong doc or location). Alt+Tab works between the
Internet, Acrobat, Photoshop, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other apps and
docs.

And thanks for both saying so, and for contributing.
