Only IE?

Having both FireFox & IE installed on my machine I thought I would install
this beta release (having used Giant in the past before the MSFT buyout).

I don't recall seeing anything (and forgive me if I am wrong), but I was
under the impression this is an Anti-SpyWare solution. Now, if using IE as
your only browser, this program picks up the relevant threats.

To ensure a "clean" system I ran Spy-Bot S&D and Ad-Aware after MSFT's
Anti-SpyWare and low and behold, there were tracking cookies (for the
FireFox browser) that were no detected by MSFT's software.

So, for clarification will the commerical release only dealt with SpyWare
(and relevant cookies) for IE only?

I don't understand why tracking cookies are that much of a security
risk. If you think about it, what is the maximum amount of data these
Web sites can track?

If the user makes the choice to enter information in a suspisious Web
site, then yes they can track personally identifiable information.
Otherwise, the only information they can track is your ip address and
Web sites that you visit /if/ those Web sites participate in the tracking.
