Online Forms?

Hello,

Is it at all possible to create an online form, linked to an Access 2003
database? The form would be for a job application, held on the
organisation's website - essentially I need a way of collecting all of the
data from an application form, without doing a lot of data entry.

Thanks!

Most ISP's will give you SQL included but if you don't have this try using
Frontapghe. - Very Simple.

Create a new page
Create a new form
Put in the fields you want
Save the page with an ASP extention
Note - you must have ASP capabilities (ask your ISP)
Right click the form and select Save to Database
Use the wizard to create the database
Uploadthe web page

Done.

BUT
If you are not used to createing websites - you could better asking someone
to do it for you as a bad application form will reflect badly on your company

As in the Frontpage forum for more details

Good luck

Hi

Thanks for your response - although I have to admit I'm not sure what it
means!! The job we're advertising is for students internally at a university
(more volunteering than working), but I didn't realise this would mean
creating a website! I think I'll have to leave it and do the data entry
instead..

Thanks very much though.

No - you don't need to create a website.
Your 1st post wasI took this to mean "on-line" (like the internet).

But if you just need a method of creating a form that users can use its much
simpler. You need to have some method that a user can look at the form and
then input the answers into controls.

It would speak to your university IT dept (or just take them for a beer and
bribe them). You "will" already have this facility. It make not be using
access but there is bound to be something.

Have a talk with the IT and see what they say.
