I'm running into a situation where a user is encountering
the following error message:
"One or more rules could not be uploaded to the Exchange
server and have been deactivated. This could be because
some of the parameters are not supported or there is
insufficient space to store all of your rules."
Environment is Office 2003 Standard on Windows XP,
Exchange 2003 Server.
I have come across many references to the 32K size limit
to rules on Exchange but this user has no rules at all,
this error comes up when attempting to create the first
rule. The rule is a simple "Move a message from ___ to
___ folder". Destination is not a PST or anything, I've
tried to create the simplest rule possible but still
receive the above mentioned error.
The problem is not specific to the client PC, I've been
able to login as myself and create rules on my outlook
profile. I've had the user login to a different PC and he
still cannot create a single rule, no matter how simple it
is. It appears to be specific to the user's mailbox on
Exchange.
What else can I look at to resolve this?
