onCurrenp event problem

in access 2007 I am trying to user oncurrent event to set some free fields on
form
but behavior is very strange - filelds do not display current state
they display state like it was on a previous record
only when i set focus on a field it god repainted well

the only thing than helps is me.refresh after all operations
but it significantly slows down movement between records

what is it??

I also noticed then when i move through records using pageup-down buttons and
setting focus on some field on form - everything works fine

but when i use split form table or navigation buttons - problem exists
