OLEAUT32.DLL not right - - HELP

D

David Ladd

I have been been upgrading the operating system of a
733mhz P3 so that could install Office 2003. I ran all of
the Microsoft upgrades and fixes and somewhere in all
that, something happened to the OLEAUT32.DLL file. When I
try to invoke several different applications, I get the
same "The ordinal 313 could not be located in the dynamic
link library OLEAUT32.dll". I've Googled the thing to
death and can't find a fix. Anybody know how to get a
replacement. The Win2K is OEM with no disks.

Thanks in advance!!!

Sometimes, OEM puts the install files in your Windows
Directory... check there, and if you find it, then you can
use expand.com (I think its that, or expand.exe) to
uncompress it. Move it into your Windows directory or the
System directory. Hope that helps...

Applying or reapplying a service pack (I believe 3, but 4 would do for
sure)ought to update/replace the file.
