OLE - Package vs Bitmap

OK, I wanted to add images to a table in access so I read how. Now, when I
try an add a bitmap image it showed "Package" in the image field of my table
instead of bitmap ( I was adding abitmap image not a jpeg). Below is
Microsoft's answer on how to fix this, however the instructions do not work.
When I go into my Office 2003 setup CD, it asks me to reinstall Microsoft
Photo Editor but Microsoft Photo Editor is not an option that is available.
The instructions are below as they appear on Microsofts web site. (And they
are for a 1st time installation. When you have it already installed your
options are to update, repair, or uninstall) Can someone please assist me in
fixing this so I can store bitmap images in an Access table. Thanks

Reinstall Photo Editor from Office XP

Start Setup on your installation CD. If the installation program does not
start automatically, you can start it by using Windows Explorer. To do so,
click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click
Windows Explorer. Locate your CD-ROM drive and double-click Setup.exe.

Enter the product key (your initials are optional) and click Next.
Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

Select the Custom installation type and click Next.
Select Choose detailed installation options for each application, and click
Next.
Under Features to install, set each program to Not Available. To do so,
click each item and select Not Available from the list. A red "X" should
appear on each item.
Expand the Office Tools feature, click Microsoft Photo Editor, select Run
from My Computer, and click Next. This forces the installation program to
install only Photo Editor.
Click Install to complete the installation.

The instructions explicitly state that you must use the Office XP CD to
install MS Photo Editor.
If you only want to embedd Bitmaps then you do not need MS Photo Editor as
you can simply use MS Paint as the OLE Server.

I installed the software but the word "Package" still appears in the image
field of my table. I need it to show bitmap image so it will work with my
label program (my label program pulls information from access to make
inventory lables and in order to have a picture be visible on the label it
has to show bitmap image in the image field of the table). It appear once
when I first tried it before installing the photo editor but then I tried a
jpeg and every since the word package appears wether I am trying to imbedd or
link a bitmap, jpeg, or giff. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Thanks

There's no such thing as Office XP version 2003.

Office XP is Office 2002.

Office 2003 is Office 2003.

You may be thinking Windows XP, not Office XP.
