OLE Object screwup

S

Scott Matheny

I have this wierd problem: I have graphs on a form that
are OLE Objects stored in my database. When they are
double-clicked they open in Microsoft Photo Editor
something or other. But the problem is that I locked that
control and when I exit the MPE and try to move to the
next record, I get the following message:

Database can't save your changes to this bound OLE
Object.

How do I stop this from happening, as it would be very
frustrating to the user because you have to press escape
to stop it. For now I have a message box on double click
that explains to the user what to do, but this is a non-
solution.

Please give me any suggestions to work around this.

Thanks in advance,
-Scott
