Old OS Backup

I have recently upgraded from 98 to XP (upgrade version).
This system is working great, and I'd like to delete my
old Windows 98 backup. What will happen if my systems has
a fatal crash and I need to reload XP? It seems I read
that the upgrade version "looks" for an authentic 98
license. Will I be ok?

You will need to prove that you have a copy of Windows 98. If
it's not installed on the drive, you'll be prompted to install
its CD as proof of ownership. As long as you have an installation
CD to insert when prompted (not a restore CD), you'll be OK.
