currently have a p4 computer with 40 gig hard drive. I would like to
install my old quantum 6.4 gig drive, with i took out of my old
unusable system. My old drive contains winxp and I set it up as a
master and slave with my new hard drive but my computer will not
recognize it. Is there anyway I can get this installed?

Go into your bios and make sure it is being recognized correctly. If so you
should be able to see it in windows assuming the drive hasn't gone bad.

Your description is a tad confusing.
Can you be more specific as to how you have configured your old drive in
your new computer?
Your old instalation of Windows-XP is driver-specific for your old system
and therefore couldn't be used to boot your new computer unless you did a
repair-installation. If you are trying to get data off the old disk or just
generally need the old disk in the new system, I would highly recommend
setting the disk up as a slave to your 40G disk.
