OL2002: Mail is sent but remains in Outbox

P

Peter

Environment:
Windows XP Professional SP1a (Fully Patched)
Office XP SP2 (Outlook2002)

Scenario:
Using POP3 mail account, mail is sent up to and exceeding 40 times but
remains in the outbox.
Message can successfully be deleted.

Problem still occurs when disabling Trend Micro Internet Security (PC Cillin
2004).
Same problem occurs with Outlook Express.

I have searched the knowledge base and newsgroups. There are alot of
postings in the newsgroups regarding this problem, however many of these
postings dont have replies.

Have looked at articles below only to find they don't fix this issue.

Fixed!

The problem was a corrupt data file.

1. I exported all data to a PST file.
2. Deleted Mail Profiles
3. Created NEW mail profile
4. Created mail accounts
5. Imported DATA
6. Tested - OK
