Nowhere do I find warnings about the effects of mapping multiple PSTs to a single Outlook Profile. That could mean that there are no limits; OR that it's so obvious that it's not worth mentioning ... I'm inquiring, just the same
I'm troubleshooting a problem a user has copying Exchange messages from our E5.5-SP4/W2K-SP3 server to her PST. Frequently it hangs or returns the " ...application has stopped responding" message. I have not checked the integrity of her PSTs yet and realize that I have a lot of things to check out. But something strikes me as unusual and I just wanted to run it by you folks. This user has 13 PSTs mapped to her profile and the total file size exceeds 4.1GB. One of the PSTs is 1.3GB
I know that when Outlook is launched, any mapped PSTs are opened. I'm wondering if this could cause a condition that exceeds the user's process limitation (i.e. cache, buffers, etc) that results in a hung process or non-responding application
Thoughts? Suggestion
Thanks
