Ok, I'm stumped. SP2 Upgrade problems

This is a clean install of Vista Ultimate 32-bit. Got all the updates
done. But now, when it comes to installing SP2, its just a no-go. I did
the SP2 through Windows Update and when it would get to 98% it would say
it failed the install and it would revert back and try on the reboot,
reboot, same thing. The error message Windows Update showed was Error
Code 80070059.

I then tried the standalone SP2. Same result. But the error message it
gave, I forgot to write down but when it rebooted from failed it opened
a window about unable to open another process or some such thing.

I've tried the System Update Readiness Tool. and then tried to SP2
standalone again, no joy.

I've tried the sfc /scannow to see if that had any effect and nope, it
says all is fine.

Any ideas?

Read thoroughly solution for SP1:'Vista SP1 RC installation error

for SP2 solution is a bit defferent although very similar:

Go to folder *C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository *and find
subfolders *winusb.inf_<-hex_ID->* (Image),choose the newest one,open
it,copy from this *winusb.inf* file and paste it to *C:\Windows\inf*
.For sure restart computer and try again install SP2.
Thanks, I'll give that a shot!

That did the trick! Thanks! I googled all over the place but never found
that, very helpful!
