I would like to set up MS Certificate Services using an offline root
and possibly a couple of offline subordinates, but I'm not quite sure
what I need for an OID in my CAPolicy.inf file. Is it OK to use a free
Private Enterprise Number registered from IANA (i.e. -
1.3.6.1.4.1.xxxxx number) or do I need to pay $1000 to register for a
2.16.840.xxxxx from ANSI (My understanding is that ANSI no longer
issues 1.2.840.xxxxxx numbers. Please correct me if I am wrong and
guide me in the right direction for registering for one of these from
ANSI instead, if needed.)
