Offline Folder File Settings & Environment Variables

***PRODUCT SUGGESTION***
On the advanced tab, setting up the offline folder file settings:
It would be nice if we could use environment variables in the form
of %USERPROFILE%\outlook.ost instead of trying to make the path:
Currently (Outlook 2003 with the latest patches & updates) when I click on
the Ok button after entering the path mentioned previously, it attempts to
make the path
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033\%USERPROFILE%\outlook.ost"
which of course is invalid.

Where are you using the environment variable? It should work fine if you're building a .prf file with the CIW or CMW.

You should use Outlook Profiler to manage Outlook in your
environment.

When you go from Outlook, Tools, E-mail Accounts, Change, More Settings,
Advanced Tab, Offline Folder File Settings.

(Same when you get to the same place from Control Panel, Mail)

I realize that you can use the environment variables after you click the
browse button, but that is counter-intuitive.

The default value that we may have set on our installer is
%HOMESHARE%\outlook.ost ,but that doesn't resolve.
