Offline Files

Hi,

I am having problem to synchronize files between W2K3 Std server (SP2) & XP
Pro. workstations in our office. Actually we would like to synchronize *.dbf
files and I am getting this error message:
Files of this type can't made available offline.
Does anyone come across this type of problems? Please provide any feedback.
P.S. Due to east long weekend I might not able to try your solutions for the
next 2 days but will try it first thing on Monday morning.

I suspect it's because the data INSIDE the Database file means nothing by
itself. It's not a standalone file.

Hi,

You are right. It's not actual Database file. Actually it's sereral dbf
files linked with one another for a program calles Caseware working papers.
This program is used for bookkeeping for public accounting firms in North
America.

Is there a way to synchronize this type of files? Any thoughts..

I have know idea: the DATA by itself means nothing.
Like $211.33, John Smith , etc.
You have to call the company / where you bought "Caseware working papers"
to see if any way to sync it.
