Offline files, errors when trying to synchronising

Hi, I have a Windows XP laptop where the my documents folder has been pointed
to the users home drive on the file server. I have enabled offline files on
the home drive so the my documents folder should synchronise, the my
documents folder is under 2gb in size. The trouble is that the files aren't
sync'ing, the files are being created within the offline files folder but
won't sync. I have tried many different ways to get the synchronising but
nothing seems to work.........any ideas??

Hi Russell,

What errors are you getting in the OF console when the laptop connects
to the network when it tries to sync?

Go through this and see if you might have missed anything:

OF works okay for users with very limited files. But otherwise I would
look elsewhere for another solution. Even using a backup program like
Acronis Workstation can be better. Backups are made when connected to
the network and does it quicker and less intrusive than OF. On a couple
networks I admin, we use Symantec Backup Exec and the Desktop/Laptop
Option that backs up files to the server immediately on modification.
