Office should have "Grown-up Graphics" capabilities

I wish that Office could produce better charts and graphics rather than
having to use another package to do this. The included “pictures†are very
“kid graphics†to the point I don’t use them. If they were more humorish or
better quality, but they remind me of 1980’s Calendar Creator back in the
days when everything non-text was cool on a dot matrix printer. Microsoft has
a lot of artists and it’s time to trash the old clipart that’s been shipping
with the product for 10 years and have the graphics capabilities grow up
beyond Northwind Traders.com sample sites, etc. What gives Macintosh the edge
(and other free-office-like products) are that they have grown-up graphics
that we can use in education and business and have really cool looking
productions. It might justify upgrades to Office vs. several minor features.
Consider the charts below.











One was done by Excel, the other was not. What’s your guess?



Look at table templates in Word. They haven’t changed in ~ 8 years???



All the same holds true for templates in all the packages. OK for middle
school students, but for professionals???



You have some cool ones on the web, but why can’t the grown-up ones be in
the product and search for cartoons on the web?????



What about fonts??? Office has a couple of nice ones, but what about adding
some really great fonts? Are all the ideas taken (by Apple?)?



Colors too. I realize that monitor to monitor and printer to printer it can
vary, but look at Win XP media center. It has nice fonts and graphics that
really look nice.



Word Art hasn’t been updated forever either. Most of the 30 choices looked
cool 10 years ago, but for publishing now,,, pretty lame.



Diagrams, org charts, - same.



Grow up Office, and make me proud of the work I do and make me feel like an
artist / publisher!

There are no "charts below". This group doesn't support binaries.

There are so may places to get free clip art from the Internet that I'd
rather Microsoft concentrate on fixing bugs than enhancing the existing clip
art.
