Office Setup Files

Running a disk cleanup on my C drive generates an option to delete 188,861 K
of Office Setup Files. By default they aren't selected for deletion, but I
wonder whether they can be dumped safely, or whether it'll affect future
Office updates?

Windows XP Pro SP2, Office XP with all the updates.

Many thanks.

You may safely delete them. However, you may be prompted to
insert your Office CD in the CD Drive the next time you download
and install Office updates.
