Office issues with Vista

1) Attempting to run Office Update with Office XP Pro on Vista fails @ 40% in
ident.cab - not digitaly signed.

2) Attempting to install Office 2007 Pro Beta on Vista fails as the Download
is not digitaly signed.

Anyone any idea what the best way around these issues please?

I had the same problem. Office 2007 (Office 12) was downloaded under
Vista without apparent problems. A certificate not valid message popped
up at the end of the download. There was no choice to accept or reject
and closing the window resulted in loss of the download. I am trying it
again with Server 2003.

It was possible to download Office 2007 with Windows Server 2003 and to
then execute the install under Vista. It was necessary to "right click"
on the install executable and check "install as Administrator" in order
to install the software even though the user already had Administrator
privileges. Microsoft Word ran OK in a brief test, but Microsoft has
created another incomprehensible user interface. For example, it isn't
obvious as how to change the default font and I still can't change the
default file location. The option to do this is in a few unlikely
locations and, even there, is grayed out.
