Office 2003 upgrade to Off2k7 outlook problem with profile

Did an upgrade of off2k3 to of2k7 successfully. However when I send mail from
outlook (new or reply) I get a dialog box that promts me to "choose a
profile".

My mail is set to "always use this profile". My profile correctly connects
to my exchange server.

Not in cached mode, no pst.

The "choose profile" dialog box will cause outlook to hang if you click OK
....will dissapear and send the message if you click "cancel". There are 2
additional options in the "options dropdown... 1) Set as default profile and
2) Show Logon screens for all information services. Checking 1 and OK causes
a hang... checking 2 and ok casues the message to be sent.

This happens on every "send" I do.

Uninstall & reinstall was no help, deleting and creating new profiles does
not help.

any ideas?

DId you actually create a new mail profile when you upgraded? There have
been numerous reports of problems with upgrading to OL 2007 if you do not
create a new mail profile. Indeed, it's always a good idea to create a new
mail profile when changing Outlook versions, no matter the starting and
ending version.
