Office 2000, can not send e-mails. error message WAB DLL

just bought new laptop with vista. installed office 2000. can not send
e-mails. error message says 'can not find windows address book...WAB DLL.'

After furious head scratching, mark asked:

OMG...it worked! For now. Apparently though, it's not the right thing to
do. I'll play around with the Vista Mail and perhaps use that instead.
