Offer remote assistence - how to configure in a workgroup setting?

Hello,

I would love to set up our department up to be able to use the "Offer Remote
Assistance" WinXP feature (without the user having to initiate with
Messenger or via a File), but we can't be guaranteed that our user account
exists on the remote system. In a workgroup setting, is there a way to use
XP's built-in security principals instead?

Maybe use "runas"?

Has anyone actually done this?

No Remote Assistance "offer" functionality only works in a domain or trusted
domain environment. For a small work group solution you might look at this
page using the invitation by file method. Keep in mind that for a large
number of work stations this could get quite cumbersome.
