Off Topic Question - Operating System Name

dc

This been driving me crazy. Anyone know the name of the OS that was written
by a guy in California that works in the Office section of Microsoft. His
name is Jim something. The OS was written as a joke and later used to check
code. Steve Jobs found a mole and had OS VII computer converted to this OS
and deposited the CD in a trash can near the mole's desk , marked it as OS X
beta. It was said that it was carried to Gates and he had the Vista team use
some of the code, and purportedly the reason for some of the additional time
to release.

I'm trying to find the article, but haven't had any luck so far.

Sorry for the OT.

Hmm... <is a good place to ask about
OS development history, but your topic's pretty recent.

Instead, I did a search for "jobs fake vista development
corporate-espionage". This sounds like B.S. to me.
